At our studio, joining the competition team is about so much more than just dancing—it's about discovering your full potential both on and off the stage. Through exciting performances, goal setting, and pushing yourself to grow, dancers learn the true meaning of dedication and passion.
Our team members build confidence as they step into the spotlight, form lasting friendships through shared experiences, and develop a strong sense of teamwork as they support one another every step of the way. We believe in celebrating progress, big and small, and creating an environment where each dancer feels seen, valued, and inspired to shine.

HOW OUR TEAM WORKS
QUALIFICATIONS
To be part of our competition team, dancers must be enrolled in a ballet class and at least one additional technique class—jazz, tap, or acro. These classes help build the strong technical foundation needed for success on stage and continued growth throughout the season.

AUDITIONS
Joining our competition team starts with a fun and low-pressure audition! It’s a great opportunity for our choreographers to see you dance alongside potential teammates, get a feel for your style, and begin building our teams for the season. Dancers will audition in groups based on their current level. This allows our choreographers to fairly assess skills, style, and group dynamics while making the experience fun and comfortable for everyone!

CASTING
Each dancer will be cast into routines based on a thoughtful balance of their interests, strengths, and the overall needs of the team. Our goal is to create well-rounded groups where every dancer can grow, shine, and feel confident. We offer our dancers the opportunity to performance solos, duos, trios, small groups, large groups, super groups, and even productions!

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will take place at set times each week. Our group dances will use their weekly rehearsal time to learn their group choreography, clean and polish their routines, and prepare for the stage together. Our solos, duos, and trios will learn their choreography learn their dances during private lessons in the summer and rehearse weekly during a dedicated time slot. These rehearsals are focused, fun, and essential for building confidence, teamwork, and performance readiness!

COMPETITIONS
Our team attends 3–4 local regional competitions each season. These events are a fun and exciting way for dancers to perform on stage, grow as artists, and bond as a team. We love cheering each other on and celebrating every performance together!

NATIONALS
We wrap up our season with an unforgettable Nationals experience! This final competition is all about making memories, celebrating a year of hard work, and sharing the joy of dance with teammates and families. We travel to a fun, family-friendly destination, enjoy team dinners, plan a special team outing, and show off our studio spirit with coordinated spirit wear. It’s the perfect way to end the season—with laughter, togetherness, and lots of dancing!​
