image000000.jpeg

Lucy started her dance training at the age of three at Betty Gundersen Studio of Dance in West Brookfield, MA.  Here she trained with outstanding faculty in multiple styles of dance.  In 2007 and 2008, Lucy performed at the World Showdance Championships as a member of the USA Dance Team in Riesa, Germany, bringing home gold and bronze medals for her country.

Lucy is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education and Studio Management, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. At UMass, Lucy studied dance, pedagogy, anatomy, kinesiology, business, child psychology, early childhood development to name a few. While in college, she founded and directed the UMass Dance Company.

Her journey in dance education and choreography began in 2008, spanning across various competitive and recreational programs throughout New England. Lucy's choreography has earned recognition at both regional and national levels, and she holds certifications in Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet Technique, enriching her teaching repertoire.

Lucy trains dancers of all ages and styles— classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, music theater, and acro. Her magic truly comes alive with young dancers, as she delights in nurturing their budding talents and curious minds.

Through carefully crafted curriculum and personalized guidance, Lucy's pedagogy fosters independence, goal-setting skills, and critical thinking in her students. Her dedication to delivering exceptional dance education while prioritizing safe movement practices ensures the development of skilled performers and well-rounded individuals with an enduring love for dance.

OUR FACILITIES

108 MILK STREET
WESTBOROUGH, MA

At Miss Lucy’s, we’ve created a bright and welcoming environment where children can move, imagine, and blossom. Every detail of our space was designed with care to ensure safety, comfort, and joy.

Safe, Supportive Dance Floors

Our studio feature cushioned sprung floors that “float” on hundreds of high-density foam supports. This specialized design helps protect growing joints and muscles, allowing dancers to move confidently, reduce fatigue, and dance with ease.

Professional-Grade Studios

Our studio includes full mirrors, double ballet barres, and high-quality sound systems to create a focused and inspiring space for learning and creativity.

Open-Concept Design

We believe dance should bring families together. Our open-concept layout allows parents to hear and peek into class as their child learns and grows — no viewing room required. At the end of class, dancers love to “open the curtain” and proudly share what they’ve been working on!

A Welcoming Experience

Beyond the studio, families can enjoy a friendly lobby, an exclusive dancewear boutique, and ample parking for easy drop-offs and pickups.

At Miss Lucy’s, we’re more than a dance studio — we’re a joyful community where confidence blooms, friendships grow, and every child feels right at home.
